Jakarta, Tuesday 12 November 2019 - PT KISI Asset Management (KISI AM) launches its initial “KISI IDX Value30 ETF” mutual fund product. Mutual fund products that can be traded on this exchange refer to the IDX Value30 index which measures the price performance of 30 stocks that have low price valuations with transaction liquidity and good financial performance.

This mutual fund has received an effective statement from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) on 31 October 2019.

KISI AM is the first investment manager to issue ETF mutual funds using the IDX Value30 index as a reference. In launching the ETF mutual fund, KISI AM partnered with Mandiri Sekuritas as a Participant Dealer and PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk as a Custodian Bank.

President Director of KISI AM, Mustofa said, KISI AM saw an opportunity from the needs of some investors both institutions and individuals to invest in index mutual funds (passive investing) so as to issue this ETF.

The IDX Value30 Index consists of 30 shares selected from the IDX80 Index, which have low price valuations based on price to earnings ratio (P/E) and price to book ratio (P/B) with transaction liquidity and good company performance. From the results of back testing comparing the performance of the IDX Value30 Index with IHSG and LQ45 during the period of 1 January 2014 to 9 August 2019, the performance of the IDX Value30 Index was better.

KISI AM believes that this ETF product will become one of the instruments of choice for investors who want to invest in stocks with low valuations.

From this mutual fund, KISI AM hopes to raise funds under management (Asset Under Management/AUM) of Rp 250 billion until the end of 2020.

In addition to ETF mutual funds, KISI AM is also planning to launch a money market mutual fund, fixed income mutual fund and equity fund which are currently in the process of preparation. At the end of 2020 the company is targeting to manage funds of up to Rp 1.5 trillion to Rp 2 trillion from mutual funds to be issued.
